DAY 1: WELCOME TO LUANG PRABANG

• • Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Luang Prabang has been claimed by UNESCO to be ‘the best-preserved city in South East Asia’.

DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU CAVES & CITY TOUR

• • After breakfast, cruise upstream on the Mekong River, enjoying scenic countryside views. Visit the Pak Ou Caves, famous for thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues. On the return trip, stop at Ban Xanghai for local rice wine, Ban Xiengkek and Ban Xangkhong for traditional jute paper making, and Phanom Village, known for hand weaving.
  • Back in Luang Prabang, explore key sites including the Royal Palace Museum, Wat Xiengthong with its stunning Lao architecture, Wat Visoun with its impressive stupa, and Wat Aham. Conclude the day with sunset views from Mount Phousi and a stroll through the lively night market.

DAY 3: ALMS GIVING AND TRANSFER TO AIRPORT

• • Early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the ritual.
  • This morning, we drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails.
  • Start early to witness the unique morning ritual of saffron-clad monks collecting alms from locals. Then, visit the stunning Khouangsi Waterfall, where you can swim in turquoise pools or explore scenic forest trails. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy some leisure time before your transfer to the airport for departure.
