• • After breakfast, board a scenic cruise upstream on the Mekong River, offering panoramic views of the peaceful countryside. The highlight of the cruise is a visit to the famous Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves packed with thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues in various shapes and sizes, left by pilgrims over the centuries. These caves are a significant religious site and provide insight into Laos’ strong Buddhist traditions.
  • In the afternoon, explore the local Phousi Market, where you can observe daily life and browse local produce and goods. Continue with a car transfer to the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfalls. Along the way, stop at Hmong and Khamu villages to learn about their distinct cultural practices and daily life. Upon arrival at Kuang Si, admire the multi-level cascades, where the turquoise pools offer an ideal spot for a refreshing swim.
  • Before returning to the city, visit Ock Pop Tok, a cultural center set in lush gardens by the Mekong River. Here, gain insight into traditional Lao textile production, meet skilled silk weavers, observe artisans at work, and learn about the life cycle of silkworms.
