LVT5: VIENTIANE – KONG LOR CAVE – BUDDA CAVE – SAVANNAKHET – PAKSE – TAD LO – 4000 ISLANDS 9D8N

DAY 1: ARRIVAL VIENTIANE

• • Upon arrival in Vientiane, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel. If time allows, visit Wat Sisaket, Wat Prakeo, That Luang Stupa, and Patuxay Monument.

DAY 2: VIENTIANE – PRABATH PHONSAN – KONG LOR CAVE

• • Depart from Vientiane, stopping at Prabaht Ponsan, home to the ancient Buddha footprint. Continue into Khammoune province with a scenic stop near Khoun Kham before reaching Kong Lor.

DAY 3: KONG LOR CAVE

• • Take a long-tail boat through the 7km Kong Lor Cave, featuring a massive 100m-high cavern. Enjoy lunch in a remote village before returning to the hotel by sunset.

DAY 4: KONG LOR – PHOU PHA MARN – THAKHEK

• • Head to Phou Pha Marn for a thrilling adventure with zip lines, canopy walks, and stunning karst landscapes. Later, visit Nang Aen Cave and Tha Falung before transferring to Thakek.

DAY 5: THAKEK – PAKSE

• • Explore Thakek, including Pha That Sikhottabong, a significant 19th-century temple. Then, drive to Pakse for an overnight stay.

DAY 6: PAKSE – TADLO – PAKSE

• • Travel to the Bolaven Plateau, known for its cooler climate and waterfalls. Visit Tad Fan waterfall and Tad Lo village, home to Alak, Nge, and Katu ethnic groups.

DAY 7: PAKSE – WAT PHOU – KHONG ISLAND

• • Drive to Khong Island, stopping at the pre-Angkorian Wat Phou ruins. After lunch, continue to Khong Island.

DAY 8: KHONG ISLAND – 4000 ISLANDS AND SURROUNDINGS

• • Explore Don Khone by long-tail boat, visiting French colonial remains and Liphi Waterfall. Visit Khone Phapheng, the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia, before returning to Pakse.

DAY 9: PAKSE DEPARTURE

• • Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
