Day 1: Hanoi- Rural tour- Home cooking class (L,D)

At 8.00, our tour guide will welcome you at your hotel lobby, then start driving 5km out of Hanoi center, crossing red river and seeing Eiffel bridge, was built in 1902 by the French architect Gustave Eiffel.

At 8.30, visit local family and make friends with the farmer, then experience farming work in 45 minutes, we have a good chance to take some nice photos as well as know about rice farming and rural life in Vietnam, know how local people’s lives unfold – from farmers working on their fields and gardens (wet rice cultivation) to children riding a bicycle to school and even daily chores such as shopping for grocery or communal gathering.

At 9.45, visit Ancient Citadel, is an ancient fortress in what was the first independent capital of the Vietnamese kingdom. Co Loa Citadel is believed to have been constructed in the 3rd century BC. The Chinese conquered it shortly after the building was built. Archaeologists have guessed that, to construct the entire fortress, over two million cubic metres of material were moved.

At 11.00, our tour guide will arrange wooden seats on the train as locals with 40 minutes riding back Hanoi city,

At 11.45, our driver sees you again, transfer 5 minutes to a new local family and learn about their livings, the host welcome you to visit their home and relax.

At 12.00, check in your room with Awesome homestay and it is great time to enjoy authentic lunch at dinning place with scenic view of Red River,

From 13.00- 15.00, take a rest and your free time.

At 15.30, enjoy cooking class with local hosts with 4 hours, the guide then will teach you some simple phrases "local language" in 30 minutes, it is very important to help you get shopping skills and spending the currency "VND" with the friendly sellers.

Next step, you will start cycling (or walking) to the local market only 5 minutes, then It's great chance to buy local things by yourself and experience a variety of foods from all the groceries such as: herbs, spices, vegetables, meats, fishes, fruits which are so fresh. All things bring you very close to the simple life (herbs and spices are a very important part of authentic Vietnamese food).

You will have fun time to communicate and use body language with locals, incredible and unforgettable memories. Do not forget to take some photos with them.

Complete your shopping, we come back our home to prepare and cook by yourself under the instruction of the tour guide from the beginning to the end, learning how to marinate and to spice will be the most crucial lesson. You will also enjoy decorating dishes with carrot flowers, lemon grass stems, banana leaves and curved chili.The authentic magical sauce mixed from fish sauce, water, sugar, lime, chili, garlic and herbs is very easy to make.

At 19.30, enjoy your cooked dinner with local family and enjoy staying with them.

Day 2: Homestay- Red River boat trip- Finish (B,L)

After your breakfast, you get on local fisherman's small boat with 2 hours, along Red River "Song Hong by local name", you will have fresh atmosphere view fields of sugarcane and maize, banana trees, some vegetables along the river bank, It is a great to take photos of Eiffel bridge "as known as Long Bien Bridge, floating houses, we understand the hard life of fishermen and farmers everyday.

Around 12.00, check out your room and enjoy lunch.

At 14.00, say goodbye with friendly friends and transfer you back your hotel, see you again!
