Overview:
This tour was designed for those who don't have much time but still want to see major cities of Vietnam. You will have chance to visit to the 2 biggest deltas in Vietnam. That is Red river delta and Mekong river delta and 2 biggest cities Hanoi and Hochiminh city. Two different regions with two different cultures, 2 different life styles, 2 different natural sceneries and even 2 different climates must bring you a special feeling.
DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL
Welcome to Hanoi, a city of more than 1000 years old. Your guide will meet you at the airport and drive to check in your hotel in Hanoi center. Time to relax after a long flight. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 2: HANOI - HALONG BAY (B/ L/ D)
Start your wonderful holiday with Halong bay which is famous all over the world for its beauty and magnificence. Spend whole morning this day to drive to Halong bay, it is 160 km only, but traffic is quite heavy. However, you will have good chance to see peaceful countryside of Vietnam with rice fields, villages, rivers, water buffalos….
You will arrive Halong bay at around 12:00, then get on our luxury boat to begin your dreaming cruise in amazing Halong bay. Our boat will cruise slowly through hundreds of limestone islands, some of them really look like Cocks, Hens, Dog, Duck, Cat… Just ask your guide to show you!
You will have tasty lunch and dinner on boat. Spend a romantic night on boat in Halong bay.
DAY 3: HALONG BAY - HANOI (B/ L/ D)
Good morning Halong bay! Wake up and look out the window to see sunrise in Halong bay. Then come up to sundeck to take part into some morning exercises and enjoy fresh air of the sea and forest.
After breakfast, our boat will push off and start another cruising. That is great time for you relax and comfort yourself on boat. Enjoy gorgeous scenery of Halong bay and take hundreds of photos for life experience. Have lunch on boat and then say goodbye to our crews, we finish our cruise at the harbor where our driver waiting for us to drive back Hanoi.
On arrival, you will come to Hanoi Old Quarter to walk around and see how local people live in this busy and crowded area. Also, take photos of old houses, colourful shops, busy restaurants, noisy bars…Tonight, you will have chance to taste local foods in Hanoi. Stay overnight in Hanoi..
DAY 4: HANOI CITY TOUR (B/ L/ D)
Hanoi has been being capital of Vietnam since 1010. So there are many interesting things to see and to learn about. Firstly, you will visit Hochiminh Complex including Hochiminh Mausoleum, President Palace, Houses of Hochiminh….You will have chance to learn much about life and career of our respected President Hochiminh who devoted whole his life for Vietnam Independence and an excellent example for everyone to follow.
After that, your guide will take you to another famous site, that is Temple of Literature which was regarded as the first National University of Vietnam dated back 1070.
Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit to one of many interesting museums in Hanoi,Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, we have 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, so we built this museum to introduce you about different ethnic groups of Vietnam, it must fascinate you to visit this place.
Finish your day with a special show of water puppets. Dinner and stay overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 5: HANOI - SAIGON (HOCHIMINH CITY) (B/ L/ D)
Free at leisure, then, head to the airport for your flight to Saigon - Hochiminh city. On arrival, our guide will welcome you and bring you to check in your hotel in Saigon center. Relax after long flight. Dinner and stay overnight in Saigon - Hochiminh city.
DAY 6: SAIGON - MEKONG RIVER DELTA (MY THO) – SAIGON (B/ L/ D)
Mekong river delta is the biggest delta, and also it is biggest rice producing center of Vietnam. Covering an area of more than 40.000 sq km with hundreds of rivers and channels, Mekong river delta is so different from all other places in Vietnam.
A day tour to this interesting place will bring you deep understanding about local life styles of people who “prefer a boat rather than a car”.
Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and drive to Mytho. On arrival, take private boat along channels to islands. You will visit some candy factories, bee farms, and enjoy local fresh fruits while listening famous local Opera Singing which was recognized as UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Experience adventure feeling when you sit on horse carts running in peaceful countryside and stay on small rowing boat along narrow moat, under shade of wet coconut trees. You only can do it in Mekong river delta.
Finish your boat trip at the harbour, our driver take you back Saigon. Dinner and stay overnight hotel in HCMC.
DAY 7: SAIGON CITY TOUR - CUCHI TUNNEL TOUR (B/ L/ D)
You will have a whole day to visit famous Cuchi tunnels which used to be VC base during Vietnam war. You will have chance to learn much about Vietnam history, especially, Vietnam war or Vietnamese people say American war. You will see how brutal the war is!
During the war, local people couldn’t live on ground because of American bombing everyday. So they went underground, day after day, they had created an amazing system of tunnels with more than 200 km length. Today, you can get in one of them to experience the feeling of staying deeply underground.
In the afternoon, you will take a quick look into Saigon - Hochiminh city, you will visit one of these sites:Reunification Palace, War Crime Museum, and then come to Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, if you have time, you can visit to , Ben Thanh Market. Dinner and stay overnight hotel in Hochiminh city.
DAY 8: SAIGON DEPARTURE (B)
Free at leisure till transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for departure. Tour ending.
