Day 1: Ha Noi - Hoang Su Phi - Panhou (L, D)

Today, we will drive a long way (280 km) from Ha Noi to Hoang Su Phi dictrist, Ha Giang province. You can see the changing of topography from flat area in Ha Noi to rough and mountainous area of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang province. Stop for lunch on the way.

In the afternoon, we will enjoy fantastic driving to Hoangsuphi, sometimes; you may feel a little bit car-sick because of the snaky roads but stunning scenery.

Arrival Panhou in the late afternoon, check in your room. Panhou is a very nice resort in this remote area, it is just like an oasis in a desert region, very quiet, very peaceful place for you to relax after a long driving.

Dinner and stay overnight at Panhou resort.           

 

 

 

Day 2: Panhou - Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Yen Minh (B, L, D)

This morning, you can walk a little bit around this beautiful area with mountains, forests, streams and enjoy the sound of nature, fresh air and green color all over around you. Turn back to resort and check out. Keep driving to Ha Giang city for lunch. In the afternoon, we drive to Yen Minh town, stop on the way for amazing view in Quan Ba pass nearby the Heaven Gate.

Dinner and stay overnight in Yen Minh town.

  

 

 

 

 

Day 3: Yen Minh - Dong Van - Meo Vac (B, L, D)

Today, you will have the most beautiful driving of our tour. From Yen Minh, we drive to Dong Van town for lunch, stop on the way to visit Pho Bang village, a small village lies in a peaceful valley and visit to H’Mong’s King Palace, Vuong Chi Sinh and Vuong Chinh Duc, the tyrant of Opium in the past. After lunch, you can walk around Dong Van for a while in the ancient town with old house built in traditional style.

In this afternoon, we will drive to Meo Vac town, stop on the way for amazing photos of Ma Pi Leng pass, this is the most stunning pass in Vietnam that attracts many foreigner tourists, a highlight of our tour. From your road, you can look thousand and thousand meters down to huge valley with a river flowing around, Nho Que river. It is just like a band of silk to emphasis more the beauty of this region.

Check in and overnight at hotel in Meo Vac town. 

 

Day 4: Meo Vac - Bao Lac - Cao Bang (B, L, D)

This morning, if it is Sunday, you can visit Meo Vac weekly market that is famous for cow exchanges, walk around this most far town of Vietnam, then depart for Bao Lac town where we stop for lunch. After lunch, we take a long driving to Cao Bang city; once more again, you will enjoy a challenge road among forests and mountains.

Arrive at Cao Bang city in the late afternoon. Check in hotel and then free time to relax and comfort yourself after a long driving.   

  

 

 

 

 

Day 5: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall - Nguom Ngao - Cao Bang (B, L, D)

Depart Cao Bang for Ban Gioc waterfall in the morning, it is 80 km only, but you will stop on the way many times to take photos and visit to villages of Tay and Nung people along the way, especially, we will stop at a black-smith village where you can buy some good knives or scissors for your kitchens. Arrive at Ban Gioc waterfall before lunch time and that is time for you to admire the wonderful scenery of this legendary landscape. This is 4th biggest waterfall along a national border line after Iguazu waterfall, Victoria waterfall, and Niagara waterfall. Lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will visit Nguomngao cave, local people believe tigers used to live inside, they often heard crying of tigers “Nguom” and “ngao” so they named it after the sound echoed from the cave. This is a long and narrow cave with a river flowing inside, you can hear the sound of water flowing in the dark, during the wartime, local people sheltered here and the river supplied water for them to survive. Sometimes, in rainy seasons, the cave got flooded all over, so tourists could not come in.

After visiting Nguom Ngao cave, we turn back Cao Bang city for staying second night at the hotel.

 

Day 6: Cao Bang - Ba Be Lake cruise - Homestay in Ba Be National Park (B, L, D)

Say good bye to Cao Bang city, we leave for Ba Be national park. Enjoy nature along the way before stopping for lunch in Chora town, then we catch our boat to discover Ba Be lake in the afternoon, you can see Ba Be lake appears just like a great jade in the high mountains. Crystalline water of the lake will make you feel relax and calm down after a long driving.

This afternoon, you will have whole time to discover Ba Be Lake, the biggest natural lake in Vietnam at a high elevation of 150 m above sea level. With a total area of 650 ha, all the water coming down from limestone cliffs, so it is really clean and fresh, you can go swimming at the middle of the lake if it gets hot, it is more than deep enough (15 to 30 meters deep) for you to jump down from your boat, so remember to bring swimming clothes with you if you wish to swim.

Our boat trip is going to Nang river. This river is flowing through a huge mountain, creating a big cave that is Puong cave. You can see today this amazing cave with thousand of bats living inside.

After visiting Puong cave, we go down Nang River in 1 hour to visit Dau Dang Waterfall that created when the whole Nang river comes down the high rocks.

If we have time, we can visit to Ao Tien lagoon as well, Ao Tien means that Fairy Pond. Local people believe Fairies used to come down to this lagoon for swimming before because it located in an isolated lagoon of the lake that nobody knows about it.

Dinner and home stay in Pac Ngoi village.

  

Day 7: Ba Be Lake - Hanoi  (B, L)

Say good bye to the Host of our home stay, we walk inside Ba Be national park to enjoy scenery of the jungles and Ba Be lake from the high level, then, our car comes to pick you up to drive to Thai Nguyen for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit a nice museum in Thai Nguyen city, The Musuem of the Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups with the showing of 54 Ethnic Groups living in Vietnam. Drive back Ha Noi in the late afternoon and finish our tour. End of our services!
